Neville 'Nev' Hyman is a surfer, surfboard shaper, designer, entrepreneur, conservationist, humanitarian and progressive systems-based thinker. Throughout the 80's and 90's Nev was one of the most prolific and revered surfboard shapers of the time.

His brand NEV and NEV Future Shapes were sought-after globally and ridden by the world's best. In the 90’s Nev was instrumental in developing the AKU / APS3000 machine shaping technology, and he then went on to create the highly popular FireWire Surfboards in 2006, which is still an industry leader in eco-friendly and zero waste manufacturing.

More recently, and possibly his most profound project to date, is NevHouse, which produces housing and shelter that can be erected in days, and it's made purely from plastic and co-mingled waste products.

Today, Nev’s passion for surfboards has seen him return to the bay with a new-found enthusiasm to create functional, performance-based shapes that’ll make every session memorable, and aid the everyday surfer in achieving their surfing potential.
